Hi Everyone,

I got a "new" 2024 maverick Lariat earlier this year and it came with a Leer canopy. We love the truck and LOVE that it came with the canopy since we live in rainy Portland so having some weather protection as an option is great.

Bad news is a few days ago someone decided to smash the back window of the canopy (nothing stolen since empty trunk). I called the local Leer store and was quoted $1500 and 2+ months to fix it from them. I would love to not have to pay that much and wait that long to fix this.

Does anyone have any advice for other ways to fix this? I have seen on other similar posts from leer owners that did custom fiber/plexiglass builds. I am somewhat handy but have no experience with custom cutting materials like that.

I still have the frame with me, and other posts say to cut the material and attach it to the frame, but those are mainly with larger truck canopies that have a frame that goes all the way around the opening if that makes sense. For mine, there is the larger part that the glass attaches to where the lock mechanism is (third photo), and there are two points on the canopy they attach with hinges (second photo).

Overall, I am wondering if this is a feasible DIY project, or do I need to suck it up and go through Leer. I am also planning on taking it to some local glass/windshield shops to see what they can offer.

Thanks for any possible help!
