Late bloomer Henrys and kids (or indeed not)

My partner (38f) and I (36m) are only recently starting to really flourish career and income wise. I recently moved back to London as she is here, I own a house elsewhere which covers itself on Airbnb.

A lot of our friends are now having their first or second kids. It's impossible not to feel that pull when we are around them, and we love kids.

But honestly, it feels like we are just enjoying life too much at the moment, we are big into live music, festivals, travel etc and the freedom. And the income is aligned to that. I'd say half of our big group are decidedly childless and likely to remain so.

Any others been in this situation? Time is not on our side if we do want them, and if we did we agreed we would want two, having come from larger families.

My 'fear' so to speak is getting older and regretting it.

Just musing and looking for other views really.

Edit - might be worth adding, we have been together 2 years so are still at that new, slightly wild exciting part. Especially having come from other 'bad' relationships. So perhaps that plays a part in feelings atm.

Edit 2 - thank you everyone, we appreciate all the responses, especially the personal anecdotes from both sides of the fence.
