Do not book with Osa Great Adventure

On our recent trip to Costa Rica we decided to go to Corcovado and Isla del Caño. The visits are a must and great fun BUT we had issues with our tour operator
When researching we decided to set base near Sierpe and start tours from there as you have a good streach of boating though the mangrove and seemed interesting. There seemed to only be two tour operators: Osa Great Adventure and La Perla del Sur. The former seemed to have a more professional web page and interaction through WhatsApp so we decided to go with Osa.
Fast forward to 2 days before the tours and they inform us that Isla del Caño tour is canceled and we have two options: change day (impossible due to trip schedule) or run from Uvita (almost one hour away). No compensation due for the change. We decide the later as it is the only option.
And here comes the BIG surprise. When we accept the change they inform us the meeting points and hours. Nothing matches, meeting hours are earlier that what they state on the web and meeting points are on different tour operators. Here we discover Osa Great Adventure acts as an intermediary, which they do not inform, and are far from knowledgeable about travelers.
Also, for our tour to Corcovado they failed to inform that landing on La Sirena ranger station is wet and on a rocky beach if low tide. Other passanger where properly informed beforehand and has water shoes or sandals to safely land.
So, if you plan to visit the Osa peninsula do not book through Osa Great Adventure. If you start on Sierpe use LA Perla Del Sur. If you start from Uvita you have more options but Ballena Tours have been very nice, helpful and friendly.
One las piece of advise if you plan to visit Corcovado. Book well in advance, administration is very picky and can deny a paid entry if done too close to the visit.
