Had to write about Kirby to graduate
Taking a humanity class (to satisfy one of my final requirements in order to graduate next week), and the penultimate assignment was writing an essay about a chosen medium (book, movie, videogame, etc.) and linking it back the stuff talked about in class (science fiction-y stuff pertaining to dying worlds, abandoned futures, societies post-disasters, that sort of stuff).
As so, I chose to write about Kirby, with the main focus being The Ancients, since it fit the theme. Also because the professor didn't know anything about Kirby, so I thought it'd be funny to just write about the absurd lore to melt their mind.
Got a 100% on the paper, so the professor enjoyed it at least, and so thought it'd be fun to share it with y'all (while I study for my last final).
Removed the personal info (for obvious reasons), and probably got some things wrong and/or summarized some things incorrectly (I fought hard to avoid even mentioning Genwel Meteonelfilis due to time constraints) since I did use some theories/headcannons (Shiver Star being a home of the Ancients, Galacta Knight or the Master Crown being the cause of Halcandra's fall, etc.), and I would be happy to explain further if prompted.
