The more I think about it the more it seems perfect. The ultimate rise to power being a part of Monty Python (patreon episode about the tv sketches?) The amazing clear of the Python movies (the first being wild and haggard and working, the second honing the skills and being a stone cold classic, the third approaching boring retread but him hijacking a small section for his own grandiose short) and then 40 years of cashing those checks on some of the most wild, imaginative films ever made. And it's not like it's just a slide down ever since, he has the classic ups and downs, hits both creative and commercial highs, and works with a bunch of the most interesting actors at interesting points in their careers. Not even to mention he's a notorious perfectionist and every movie has insane stories of how hard it was to get made. Just seems kind of obvious the more I think about it.
