HushMemo - An offline iPhone voice-note app that turns recordings into transcripts, summaries, and action items
I kept reaching the same frustrating point with voice-note apps: I had a transcript, but I still had to reread it and manually turn it into decisions and tasks. I also didn’t want every private recording uploaded to a meeting bot or cloud service.
So I built HushMemo for iPhone.
It can record or import audio, create an editable transcript, and turn it into a structured summary and action items. After the required models are downloaded, the core workflow runs on the device. No account is required, and recordings stay local by default.
I chose a $9.99 one-time purchase instead of a subscription or per-minute transcription fees.

The tradeoff with local processing is that speed and model storage depend on the device, but I think that’s worth making explicit instead of hiding it. For people who use voice notes: would offline privacy or automatic action-item extraction be the stronger reason to try this?
