Calamondin Mealy Bug Infestation
Curious to get people's thoughts here. I have had mealy bugs for a while it turns out. I never really questioned what the cotton-like things were sitting under my Calamondin fruit, and now I have discovered that they are mealy bugs and they've been there for months.
I mixed 70% isopropyl alcohol with water and have been spraying my Calamondin daily for the past few days. I noticed that the bigger ones seem to be gone, but I am still finding tons of pockets of little ones. How long will it take for these things to be totally gone? I am soaking the plant every time I spray, and I'm getting all the nooks and crannies as well as the soil.
I know they can lay eggs in the soil, so how long should I wait before taking the next step and repotting to eliminate any sub-soil eggs?
