Bad days
Whenever I have a shitty, horrible, useless, mind-numbingly, idiotic, train wreck, ridiculous, asinine, disgusting, pathetic, senseless, moronic, cunt of a day I always take a peak at this and know it’s all okay.

I’m 4.5 seasons in, in my recollection I don’t think there’s been a winter/christmas/ or even snow episode. I know Virginia doesn’t get much snow, but I imagine the mountains would get a fair share. With the family dynamic Christmas or just episodes in the winter I feel would have been a slam dunk, and easy nostalgia episodes yearly around Christmas.
Have I just not made it far enough or what am I missing?
What has happened to Michael Hurley? It’s been a few years since seeing him on television/radio. Am I alone in thinking this guys sounds different than the Hurley I knew before hand? I used to think of him along the same lines as Adam Jones- roughly the same age. Energetic voice, passionate, a few different thoughts, good debates etc, and maybe a little intelligent. The guy that I’ve been hearing for the last week or two is much closer to Dondero than anything else. Not bringing much to the table, low energy. Not sure if heard a good point from him yet. Sounds like someone killed his dog before every show. Am I along thinking this version of Michael Hurley is a dumbed down one?
Do you folk consider The Waltons as a western? A show I always enjoy having on in the background when I’m home.
