sacbee.comRecent change to California balcony solar bill (SB868). What is the consequence, if any?
There was a slight change to SB868, the California balcony solar bill. It used to read:
>(4) Meets the standards of the most recent version of the National Electrical Code.
And now it reads
>(4) Meets the standards of the most recent version of the National Electrical Code and the California Electrical Code (Part 3 of Title 24 of the California Code of Regulations).
Does this mean the handful of balcony solar systems available for sale in the US at the moment will not qualify, and/or that these devices will be more expensive when sold in California? Or is this really nothing to worry about.
I don't know enough about these codes myself to say either way.
