I am sure this is posted all the time here, but I am an incoming Freshman for FYE, planning to major in AAE, and I need a laptop.

While I really want a MacBook since Windows has been getting on my nerves as of late, that will probably not work out for the software I will need for Engineering.

Any recommendations in terms of CPU, GPU, RAM, etc. would be greatly appreciated, along with any recommended models and insight into the software used in Purdue engineering courses.
