Compensation delay from Idfc bank
Posting it again as i didn’t got any response the first time.
Hello everyone,
I had raised an issue with Experian of a wrong email address being reported on my credit report by IDFC Bank.
I had raised that issue around may 2025 and forgotten about it.
Recently on 30th of April 2026, i got an email from experian with a compensation parent case number asking for my bank details for compensation for the delay that idfc bank caused in updating my email ( they took 133 days to update my email i.e-around September 2025)
I provided my bank account details to the experian link on 30th of April itself.
And it has been 15 days since but i have gotten any updates on the compensation.
I have emailed idfc bank 2 days ago but am yet to receive a mail from them.
My Questions are
Is there any basis of complaint that i could lodge on idfc for not informing me about the compensation claim for 8 months?
As they are not being transparent about the compensation status and delaying the compensation. Should i approach RBI for this matter?
