Hi, my recent scans have showed that I have synovitis and capsulitis of the first carpometacarpal joint, along with associated De Quervain’s tenosynovitis in my dominant hand. This has been ongoing for 8 months, but finally getting a chance to rest and address this.
The doctor has told me to use a brace, I bought a wrist and thumb brace to immobilise but it’s causing more pain. When I take the brace off I’m in more pain than I started with.
Please can someone tell me what I’m doing wrong?
