Singing hobbyist here. Loosely a MCR fan (sry, I listened previously but never thought I’d be able to sing this kind of stuff. I was wrong). For the other vocalists here. Obviously GW used a lot of clean belts and a lot of compressed/distorted belts too. I heard sleep for the first time today. Yes im about 20 years late lol. But out of curiosity, the “wide awake” at the end. They sound mostly like fry screams right? But on the last one it seems to go from fry scream (you know, the quiet but cleverly produced kind that sounds amazing with the music) and then out of nowhere it sort of blends into more of s Chester style distorted pitched scream. Truly awesome. I’m wondering what’s going on there. Is it one run? Is it quickly ended fry scream and then quick breath and belt that we just can’t hear over the music, or is it two Gerard’s layered? Trying to study this track so I can approach it in the best way. Thanks.
