Big ouchies
RMA is in progress and I know Q will fix it up, but I just wanted to share.
Had my Thunder Chicken blow the end cap. All baffles appeal to be unscathed, and I don’t see any indication of an actual strike on the end cap. The shot before it failed was a little louder than the rest, and the suppressor had made a popping noise while not firing earlier that day at the end of the range trip (this happened while shooting a couple of mags at home after range day).
In hindsight, I suspect the idle pop was the beginning of a structural failure and the louder shot before exploding was the suppressor losing pressure. Could be wrong and stupid, but the end cap landed at my feet so I don’t see how it could have been struck.
Headed out today to buy a backup Blind Tiger
