So im leaving to live in an RV at my sisters house. i have 8k in savings to get an rv.

i have a few questions

Sister has a 40v hookup, power isnt an issue. she doesnt have sewer hookup, i can use the bathroom/laundry in the house, shes okay with this.

but i would like to be able to cook and clean dishes (by hand) inside the rv. I plan to look for a propane stovetop. so question:

WATER MANAGEMENT:

  1. is there a special hookup needed for water?

  2. could a regular garden hose work?

  3. how does draining work?

  4. is it even worth looking into a water hookup? i just like the idea of being self reliant as much as possible

Note: i have no intention of using the shower inside the rv either

POWER

  1. i need to hook up a regular sized desktop pc, its a gaming one (how i keep in contact with wife until im over there)

  2. maybe a small tv

  3. No heaters, trust me when i say i dont get cold

  4. im sure they come with a fridge usually (or have a hookup) but they said worst case i can use their fridge, i dont want to though, i like not being in the way.

LIVING EXPECTATIONS

  1. this isnt ideal. but its an escape, how is it with living with one cat in a 20+ foot rv? hes a very lazy boy and likes to sleep. he chooses that over most other things.

  2. im a very clean person so mess isnt going to be an issue but what is storage like for someone bringing as little as possible (due to wanting to move out of the country)

  3. whats privacy like?

  4. i dont take up much room, so i feel i'll be pretty comfortable

WHAT AM I MISSING?

is there anything else i should be looking for? my sister and her dad will help me look for damage and make sure i buy a good rv, they told me im in no rush to get one and can crash on their couch... i dont like this, i want to be on my own as soon as possible. I DO NOT WANT TO BE A BURDEN AND WANT TO PAY MY SHARE!!

so when living in an rv, what do i expect? its going to be for 8 months to a year hopefully. even the streets are better for me than where i am now. basically please trauma dump on me with all of your woes of living in an rv, i want the realist expectation i can get before i pull this trigger. which i have no choice, so less surprises please.

I will try to make this as detailed as i can.

I'm American and want to move to Wales. I want to marry my girlfriend who is a natural british citizen and live in wales with her and her parents. Im 27 and she is 22.

She is currently graduating with a bachelors degree and is going to start working.

I know i need to make on a marriage visa 29,000 pound a year. And i understand there is a shortfall that i need to cover if she doesnt make that amount yearly. i also know i need to show that i have that money for 6 months and she needs to be working for 6 months for any of this to count.

we did the math on if she made around 25k, we'd need around 26,000 pound in savings. we currently have roughly 17,000 pound. i am currently running out of time on where i currently live and could lose my job too by next year.

what im asking is, are the uk visa and immigration super strict about this and is being 10k pounds short an instant denial? im worried my savings wont last me much longer.
