Uncovering the Lost History of Dream Chronicles: 3D Assets, Unused Levels & The Master Archive Project 🕊️

Welcome to my first post on this sub. I’ve decided to share a project I’ve been working on for a few months: the Dream Chronicles Archive Project. I’m deep-diving into the history of the original KatGames/PlayFirst series to preserve and document everything—especially the content that was left on the cutting room floor.
What is the Dream Chronicles Archive Project? I’m currently decrypting and archiving assets from the entire series. One of my biggest discoveries so far is a rare version of the PS3 port. Unlike the PC versions, which use 2D backgrounds, this version actually contains 3D renders and assets, allowing us to see the Dream Realm in ways never possible before.
The Hunt for Lost Media (Beta Builds): every single Beta Build of the Dream Chronicles series is currently considered lost media. we know that someone out there still has them since they were shared with fans of dream chronicles back in the day, but every single download link is dead, even with Wayback Machine. This means they are considered lost media. All I have are screenshots of these beta builds; they are in my archive to avoid breaking rules. I won't post the download link here. If you want to check a sneak peek of my archive, you can download it in my own subreddit. I will post the link later today or tomorrow. Note this is not the full release.
I need your help! I am convinced these builds are still out there on old hard drives or obscure backup discs. To encourage the search, I am offering a reward for anyone who can contribute a lost beta build:
- Early Access: You will get immediate access to the full Master Archive (20GB+ of decrypted assets, renders, and dev files).
- Credits: You will be officially credited in the project for your contribution to preserving Dream Chronicles history.

If you think you have an old installer or a beta version on an old PC, please reach out! to end the post, Dream chronicles is a banded game since 2011. Since Glu Mobile Inc. bought the ip of PlayFirst, they have had no intention of finishing the trilogy, sadly.
