Hello! Planning my son’s first birthday party and looking for help on where to have it. It’ll be in July with people coming to the city from the suburbs (so somewhere near the highway would be nice). Thinking of doing a park, but wanted to know of good ones to host at AND other ideas people have done in the summer. We’re in Bucktown - anything fun near us or north of us? Hoping for affordable!

Also -if you’ve hired any fun entertainment for the kids that you’d recommend let me know. Lots of toddlers will be there. Thinking an ice cream truck could be fun but no idea on cost or anything.
