I just had my top surgery consultation for double incision and it was a little different than I expected. I had a lot of questions and he was kinda rude but had good answers for all of them, except he said that drain free isn't possible and that absolutely no one regains nip sensation even though some think they do. I was a little weirded out because I know neither of those things are true. I don't care about either of those things, It's just weird that he thinks that.
The part that surprised me was he never once asked me my preference on anything. He just explained this is how I do it this is the scar shape, 2.5cm nips oblong, bla bla bla. He has one way of doing things, and I'm not sure how he'd react if I asked for anything different.
The thing is, the way he does it happens to be exactly what I want. I booked a consult because I loved the few results I could find. I was able to get a few more pictures from them after, and they all look good.
It just feels like a weird approach for a plastic surgeon to just have one way they do things like it's supposed to be all about what you want. But maybe it's a good thing. He does at least one a week of the exact same thing, so I guess he's gotten really good at doing it this one way.
Has anyone else gone to a surgeon like this for top surgery? I've just never heard of it being done this way.
