
Where i am in my journey
I discovered the FIRE movement four years ago and got the courage to start investing in the market. Last year, I shifted my focus towards a Coast FIRE strategy to escape the rat race. I want to prioritize my health and have more flexibility incase im laid off or if I decide to switch to part time but with a more fullfilling career. I am 36 and I am leveraging my current 130k salary and frugal lifestyle to aggressively fund my 401k, HSA, and taxable account, in a mix of ETFs tracking the S&P 500, international markets, and a Target Date Fund. My primary goal is to get to the tipping point where my investments growth outpaces my annual contributions, but I find myself struggling with the psychological urge to check my accounts too frequently.
