toning pattern on 1921 Peace dollar
This is a 1921 Peace dollar from a coin collection I've inherited. What created the specific toning pattern, including its placement and hue? I'm new to this, but have looked at a lot of pictures of toned and cleaned coins online and not really seen any that look like this, while a number of coins in my collection do (not all of this type). I can suppose a partial cleaning didn't reach crevices and corners, but to my eye (including naked eye in real life), the color seems yellower and brighter than natural toning. Thoughts? Any point getting it graded?
