Hello plumbers and DIYers,

I replaced the old multi-turn stop valves with new quarter turn angle stop valves yesterday. I removed all old ferrules safely, one just by hand and one with an olive puller. 180 grit sanding mesh was used afterwards. Tightening was done with a crescent wrench holding the valve body and a plumber's wrench tightening the nut. Cold side is perfect, not a drop. Hot side still leaking even after tightening in increments. There's only one drop that is still hanging out after eight hours. I don't want to overtighten it and cause bigger problems so what should I do?

1.) open it back up and apply some RectorSeal No. 5

2.) Get another brass ferrule (assuming old one is now compromised) and apply a bit of RectorSeal No. 5

3.) tighten more, what could go wrong?!

4.) call in a plumber bozo!

No NOGA articulating mag stands - please rec!

Which quality articulating mag stands should I consider for starting off in the trade?

My only caveat is NO NOGA. I do not support their country of manufacture and want nothing to do with them.
