Just bought a Swift Prospector 15 Expedition Kevlar. Was looking for a canoe to do tandem trips with my wife and Son (1 year old). But majority for the next few years I will be doing lots of solo trout fishing in the morning before and after work. My only experience was with a Canadian tire red canoe that weighed 120 lbs. Did I go overkill? Was this a good decision? After tax price for canoe only was 6.5k, with paddles, life jackets, etc, looking at 8k. Did I mess up? Did I make a good choice? Planning on owning this boat until I can pass it onto my son, Thanks!
