Looking for Mortgage Broker Experienced with Consumer Proposal (CP)
Hi everyone,
I’m looking to connect with a mortgage broker who has experience working with clients who have completed a consumer proposal.
A bit about my situation:
Consumer proposal was paid off in April 2024
I currently have 2 credit trade lines:
Credit card 1: 2 years 1 month history
Credit card 2: 6 months history
I am employed full-time in a permanent position
Income is stable, I have 5% down payment
I’m trying to understand my options for getting approved for a mortgage at this stage. I’m unsure if I should try now or wait until my second credit card reaches 2 years.
Looking for advice on:
Whether I’m likely to qualify for a mortgage now
If it’s better to wait for the second card reaches 2 years
Brokers who have successfully worked with CP clients before
Any guidance or recommendations would be appreciated.
