Metaline Falls had a population of 547 residents back in 1950. Over the years, the town has seen industries die and jobs leave the area. It now has a population of 282 residents. Please do yourself a favor and visit the town. Metaline is located in the top Northeastern portion of Washington just below the Canadian Border.

The hike is a 6.8 out and back trail with about a 2,000 foot elevation gain. The views at the top are worth every step.

The hike is a 6.8 mile out and back trail. It was a bit difficult but doable.
