Numbing sensation in the thigh… anxious and spiraling a bit
I have a numbing sensation in my left outer thigh (the top) that won’t go away. It’s not really pins and needles and it doesn’t burn, but is making me so anxious.
I am an avid gym-goer (nothing extreme, I’ve done Hyrox and hit legs 2-3 times a week). I had a heavy leg day Sunday, four days prior to the onset of this.
Last night, I was bending over the bed (bent at the hips with chest on the bed) for about 5-10 minutes scrolling on my phone. My leg never “fell asleep” (pins and needles feelings) but then I recognized a numbing, almost rubbery feeling in that leg.
I don’t do leg extension machines much but just started incorporating them. In the pic, the circled area is the leg with numbness and the line shows where the additional bar is. Wondering if that could cause this?
Idk what I’m really asking. Does this seem like meralgia paresthetica? I had to take a Xanax last night I’m so anxious (my brain goes to: is this ALS? MS? lol).
This could also be my anxiety, but I feel like I’ve felt it in my left arm too. My arms often so numb when sleeping… I am a side sleeper and sleep with my arm under my pillow. I’m normally not this woo woo about health concerns, but I’m overthinking since the sensation is so bizarre.
Any advice?
