Brian never explicitly said he was quitting, but he did back away from the commitment he repeatedly claimed to have toward the sport. He said multiple times that his goal was to become the best and beat Levan, but the moment he lost, suddenly he had other priorities. To me, that’s effectively quitting — or at the very least, quiet quitting.
