Which commercial protein/keto breads are actually good, and what do they taste/feel like?

I’ve been comparing a bunch of protein/fiber breads and wanted to see what other people think, especially on taste and texture.

I’m mainly looking at protein, protein %DV, fiber, fiber %DV, serving size, calories, and price. One thing I learned along the way is that protein %DV isn’t just protein grams divided by 50g, since the label takes protein quality into account.

My current ranking:

  1. Sola Protein 10g protein (20% DV), 6g fiber (21% DV). Best overall balance of protein, fiber, and calories.
  2. Delba Protein 11g protein (20% DV), 7g fiber (25% DV). Really strong protein + fiber combination.
  3. Mestemacher Protein 11g protein (22% DV), 5g fiber (18% DV). Very good protein %DV and whole-grain/seed profile.
  4. Aldi L'oven Fresh Protein 14g protein (17% DV), 4g fiber (14% DV), 54g per 2 slices. Really good protein density and probably the best value. Fiber is the main weakness.
  5. Nature's Own Life Protein 22g protein per 2 slices. Very high protein in a pretty conventional bread format.
  6. Oroweat Protein White 10g protein (11% DV), 2g fiber (7% DV). Good protein density, but not much fiber.
  7. Ezekiel 4:9 4g protein and 3g fiber per 34g slice. More of a sprouted/whole-food bread than a true high-protein bread.
  8. Dave's Killer Bread 21 Whole Grains & Seeds 6g protein and 4g fiber per slice. Good whole-grain bread, but not really competing with the dedicated protein breads.
  9. Hero Classic White About 11g fiber per slice and very low calories. Really interesting for fiber, but protein isn't the focus.
  10. EQUII Protein About 10g protein per slice. Interesting protein-focused option, although I'm less impressed with the fiber/value.
  11. Oroweat High Power Fiber More of a fiber bread than a protein bread, so it's mainly useful as a comparison point.

What I'm trying to figure out now is taste and texture.

If you've tried any of these, I'd love to know:

Which ones actually taste like normal bread?
Which are soft/fluffy vs. dense/chewy?
Any that are noticeably dry?
How do they toast?
Do they hold up well for sandwiches?
Any weird protein/fiber aftertaste?
Which ones would you actually buy again?

I'm especially curious about Sola, Aldi, Delba, Mestemacher, Nature's Own, and Oroweat Protein.

The nutrition side is pretty easy to compare, but I'm guessing taste and texture could completely change the ranking. Would love to hear from people who've actually tried them.
