It’s time to shit or get off the pot. Looking for advice from those in it.
I’m an ICU nurse with 10+ years of experience under my belt looking to get away from the bedside and increase my earning potential (currently making around $110k/yr). What that means for me right now is either a complete career pivot or go back to school for my CRNA. I’m currently working on networking my way in to a device specialist/field rep position for a large company’s pacemaker/crm division that could result in a job in the near future. CRNA would mean probably 4 years until I’m actually out of school and working. Just looking for thoughts on comparing earning potential, quality of life, career advancement. Basically, is the juice worth the squeeze in med devices?
TLDR: Med device career or CRNA?
