My first time growing and drying dahlias!

This is my first year growing dahlias and, safe to say, I'm addicted! I already have plans to create a bigger bed to plant more varieties next year. 🙂

I also tried drying some of my dahlias with silica gel and was surprised how well it worked and maintained their color! I made this shadowbox arrangement last night with what I dried!

The white variety is 'Dorothy R' and the pink is 'Peaches n' Cream'. I also tried 'Maltby Pearl' but only had one successful early bloom with that one. My late grandma was Dorothy R, so that variety has a special meaning to me! ☺️
