Getting glasses for the first time
I’ve gone my whole 31 years of life without glasses until I got an eye exam because I picked up divergence insufficiency a few months ago for no reason at all. I have to close one eye to drive because I see double for things at a distance, but not up close thankfully. I have been the only one in my entire family, immediate and extended, that didn’t have glasses. My mom even had lasik surgery cause her eyes are all fucked up.
While looking through the lenses during the eye exam, I saw things so clearly, I had no idea I could see more clearly than I already do so I learned that I am also nearsighted. I had no idea. I’m actually pretty excited to start seeing things better than I thought I ever could despite me never having given it any thought before until the whole seeing double everything at a distance thing which just started happening overnight one day.
Doctor said my eye health is exceptional also which is cool because it’s some good news about me for once which is very rare.
On my prescription paper it says the prism for both eyes (I think) is 4.00
