Getting rid of musty smell on textiles

One of my closets started to smell really musty and most of the things in it are now soaked in that smell.

I need to do something with a couple of suitcases and bags that were stored there. I'm in two minds whether to use Wet and Forget indoor disinfectant or hypochlorous acid. Do you think it's realistic to expect hypochlorous acid to be able to tackle this smell? On the one hand, I'd much rather use HOCI in place of the Wet and Forget product, because I know I don't need any extra precautions for the former, but for the latter I'll need to wear PPE to not aggrevate my asthma and eczema. On the other hand, I don't want to waste hypochlorous acid on this, if it's unlikely to help with this smell.

Which one would you use if you were me? (Please don't suggest vinegar. The smell of it is gonna haunt me.)

The closet itself is now pretty much sorted. I've taken everything out, sprayed it with Wet and Forget indoor disinfectant (that's said to kill mould spores), dried it out, vacuumed and wiped with Dettol wipes after that and dried again. I also took the carpet out of it, vacuumed really well, sprayed in Wet and Forget disinfectant and hanged outside to dry. I've found no mould there somehow. Maybe the smell wasn't from the closet itself. I wonder if I stored something that didn't dry properly or if I put some thrifted fabric there without washing it first. I'm planning to treat it with a product containing eugenol to curb any future potential mould activity, too.
