Traded in my '23 40e for a '24 50e
I bought my first BMW, a '23 X5 45e, last May. Instantly fell in love, and I understood the hype around these cars. I was getting 600–850 miles between fill-ups. Then I randomly came across a black '24 X5 50e with M Sport Pro, DAPP, and pretty much every option I wanted and more. It had 13k miles and was listed at $75k.
I got them down to $64k. I got $40k for my trade. I owed $31k still on my car. I put $5k down. The best part? My monthly payment only went up $19.
I drove off the lot with a quarter tank of gas and a completely dead battery. I just filled up for the first time after 920 miles. The extra 10–15 EV miles from the 50e have made a much bigger difference than I expected.
The only thing left on the list is powder coating the wheels black.
