Confused about what I wanna do later in life. I'd wanna do something with a little mix of both simple medicine and also procedures. Surgery seems daunting to me in the amount of hours worked (I'm also not a competitive applicant for it) and I find FM and IM a bit boring and monotonous.

But people have so much doom and gloom about EM with scope creep and poor job market and not being able to become a specialist. I'm just so confused. Can someone please help? Any EM residents and attendings wanna shed light on the field and it's future please?
