Signal chain advice

Hello all,

Keen enthusiast but far from an expert, and I am looking to get my gain stages and gating optimised, essentially.

Elements of the chain are as follows:

Pedals:

Boss XS1 Polyshifter

Boss NS1X Noise Suppressor

Solar Chug Tuner (w/gain boost)

Rocktron Black Cat Wah (which also adds extra gain)

Airis Effects Savage Drive v5.6

Revv G4

Amp:

Revv G20 into a Friedman 212EXT

I am essentially using the G4 as a preamp into the clean channel of the G20, and the NS1X is the new element I am trying to now integrate properly.

Previously it was: poly>tuner>drive>wah>G4>front of amp, and whilst it definitely had some considerable hiss, this setup sounded by far the best, especially when engaging boosted lead sounds via the Chug or Black Cat.

I had even initially experimented with putting the G4 straight into the loop of the G20, but it didn't sound anywhere near as good as it did in the front.

It was immensely bassy/wooly, I had to massively compensate on the dials - more than that it just felt drowned out and lifeless.

What I'm trying to do now is get everything noisy inside the loop of the NS1X - I'll be spending the rest of the evening experimenting, but I'd still be curious to know:

A) How would you approach this chain?

And

B) What it is you think may have been the issue/I may have gotten wrong about putting the G4 directly in the loop of the G20?

Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

This particular masterpiece was my sister's handiwork, back during lockdown.

The advert has been a cornerstone of my family's comedy pantheon for a while, and we were all overjoyed and flabbergasted to see this sketch.

This show had better go for years!

Probably everyone has used this phrase at some point to justify buying something gloriously expensive - but how close did it come to being true?

Which have come closest for you and why? Or what has disappointed you in the search?

I have tried to avoid just using the word "amplifier" as I understand a likely endgame rig for many now will feature some degree of modelling.

I have the 142w version of the Prometheus on the way, and I'm looking to score a solid cab for it.

Lichtlaerm say they have a matching 4x12 for half the price again of the head itself, and the Fane LCFR150s inside it are supposedly both voiced for this amp and generally amazing also.

I'm wondering whether anyone here has any helpful or related experience, either with a Lichtlaerm cab, the LCFR150s, and/or finding the right cab to pair with this head.

Perhaps you swear by the Fanes, or believe nothing beats 4 V30s in something oversized? Or something else?

I'm also wondering how rare it is to be offered a cab, as they haven't been offered in the Lichtlaerm webstore for a while, it seems.

Thanks in advance for any useful info.
