FOC ASIC vs Microcontroller motorcontrol
Any have experience with working with FOC BLDC/PMSM control using FOC asics like MPS MP6570 compared to using purely a microcontroller? For a pure hobby implementation.
It seems pretty handy to be able to let all the FOC calculations be done a by a dedicated chip but removes your possiblities of making custom stuff for it.

ST STM32G473/4 seems to be the standard chipset for these type of FOC implementations.
