Hey Arcane folks!

In my recent rewatch of the series, I noticed a parallel between the Viktor and Jayce waterfront scene together in S1, Episode 9 (screenshot 1) and their final celestial scene together in S2, Episode 9 (screenshot 6).

After Jayce and the Alternate Future Viktor show him the end result of the “Final Glorious Evolution,” and then he sees the people he forcibly mind-linked together with clear open eyes, I can’t help but imagine Viktor thinking to himself, “Once again... in the pursuit of great, I failed to do good.”

While I do believe the malevolent, sentient Hexcore infused within him was influencing his thoughts to some extent (i.e., the incorporeal “Sky”), it was ultimately just pushing Viktor and his dream to their most extreme conclusion: “I will save humanity from their own imperfections (death, war, prejudice) no matter the cost, even if I have to take away their choice in the matter.”

Near the end, Viktor was going to make that decision for everyone, and he felt guilt for everything he had done leading up to that point. So it was good that Jayce was there to help, telling him, "We finish this together," allowing Viktor to fulfill the second part of his original line, "We have to make it right."

In any case, that's the parallel I believe I've found between these two scenes. If anyone has any thoughts or feedback, please let me know. Thanks!
