Hi, I’m a 3rd year CSBS student in India and also a US citizen (grew up here, did all my schooling here).

I’m stuck between two paths:

• Trying for US embassy/consulate roles (not sure how realistic or how to get in)
• Preparing for an MBA abroad (finance/analytics)

I’m interested in business/markets, but embassy roles seem stable and interesting too.

Main confusion:

• Does US citizenship actually help for embassy jobs?
• Is there real long-term growth in that path?
• Or should I focus on MBA since it has a clearer roadmap?

I need to decide soon because of GMAT prep, so I don’t want to waste time.

What would you do in my position?
