In-Ear Monitor at a Nightclub Performance?

Hey everyone,

I'm a Latin Urbano artist, so my music is a lot of reggaeton, latin pop/hip-hop, urban, whatever vibes. I've been slowly growing and usually perform at university events, festivals, or nightclubs. Each one brings different challenges.

University events are good opportunities because I perform for all the Latin student population, but usually they don't have the sound equipment for in-ears, or if they do, the students are running the sound and there are usually errors, I've been using just their mics and using the wedges to hear myself.

At festivals, they have more equipment, so I've wanted to start using in-ears for those.

Lastly: nightclubs. I haven't used in-ears yet, but I was wondering how that would work, or if it's possible. The DJ is usually running sound, but he plugs his mixer in and that's that, I don't know much about how it works, but will I be able to set up in-ears for myself at a nightclub? Is a DJ mixer enough or do IEMs require different mixers or something? Which would be good IEMs to use for this kind of performance?
