Orion is both like and the inverse of Andros, having similar tragic backstories of their planets being invaded, but where Andros lost his family and friends and became standoffish, Orion is still a positive person in spite of being homeless for months.

How I'd do it is have him be similar to marvelous from gokaiger, in so far as having a previous crew with a basco equivalent coming in later, and his backstory staying the same, except he finds the legendary morpher and red ranger key instead of the silver.

With In Space being a very well regarded season, it would be good if that and other such seasons getting better representation in an anniversary season, especially since the actual show never gave any love to it.

After their dimension 'The Spirit Plane' was attacked, four rangers made it safely to earth at the cost of their leader, but they were followed by the Erudite Empire who have there sights set on Earth.

So now with their Spirit Cubes, and a new red ranger in tow in the form of zoo worker, they fight to defend Earth as the Jungle Spirit Rangers.

Rangers:

Johnny (Spirit Eagle Ranger): an amateur zoologist and nephew of the former owner of Aller au Zoo and the bus boy at the Zoo's café, Johnny (real name Jean) is clumsy but hardworking, always wanting to take on work despite already having jobs to do, him and his uncle were saved by a man with silver hair when he was very young, and it as that man who had left the spirit cube he uses to save the world.

Riley (Spirit Shark Ranger): a Shark tribe member from the Spirit World now working at Aller au Zoo, Riley is the most competitive on the team, misses her family but tries to make the best out of the situation. Due to being from the Shark Tribe, Riley is a naturally good swimmer and can even breath underwater along with heightened hearing.

Craig (Spirit Lion Ranger): a member of the Lion tribe from the Spirit World, one of the calmest member of the team with the shortest fuse, is very caring, but that care can easily become overwhelming. Being a member of the Lion tribe gives Craig incredible climbing abilities as well as very limited volume control.

Iain (Spirit Elephant Ranger): a member of the Elephant tribe from the Spirit World and the smartest in the group, very caring and tries to be kind, but doesn't always appear how he wants, often coming across as cold and standoffish. His heritage as part of the Elephant tribe gives him an inhuman sense of smell, to the point where he can even use it to track people.

Kara (Spirit Tiger Ranger): a member of the Tiger tribe from the Spirit World, the actual calmest on the team and often the one to mediate any arguments that erupt, caring and optimistic but has a vice in materialism, overly fascinated with human shopping. Being a part of the Tiger tribe gives Kara an inhuman sense of taste, being able to deconstruct the ingredients in a smoothie, as well as cat like reflexes.

Allies:

Forest (Spirit Uncle Ranger): The former owner of Aller au Zoo and local hermit/animal sculptor, eccentric and hardworking, always waiting for that next strike of inspiration, likes to imagine himself as different animals to get into the mindset of whatever he's sculpting, often daydreams of what it would be like as a ranger, was saved by the man with silver hair and has raised Johnny ever since.

Art (Spirit Apex Ranger): Kidnapped and infused with the powers of members of the Rhino, Wolf, and Alligator tribes, he broke free of the Erudite Empire's brainwashing with the Spirit Rangers help and now fights along side them, introverted and a bit gullible but with the help of his friends, starts building his self confidence back up.

Jonah (Spirit Avian Ranger): A member of the Eagle tribe from the Spirit World and the original Spirit Eagle Ranger, presumed dead after he held of the Erudite Empires Scoeboid army while the rest of his team escaped, returned to his team now armed with the Avian Cube. Blames the rulers of the Spirit world for its destruction and was bitter when he re-joined his friends, but seeing the rangers in action gave him hope for the future,
