I started a new PT home therapy business as a sole owner of a PLLC and within two days of applying to UHC was rejected due to “currently not accepting applications for this speciality in your geographic area.” I am based in NY so I can see it being competitive but I was curious if anyone that has been through this process has any insight.

Would hiring a credentialing/contracting company help me maximize my chances?

Is there a specific time in the year that is typically easier to be accepted?

I don’t have a specific specialty/certification either.

Just need ideas on what to do next as I am applying to credential with more insurances and want to know if I should continue to expect this
