We are a couple with 2 kids (19 yrs old). Currently having 2 fully paid up properties worth about $1MM each, generating total rental of about $5-6K after deducting expenses, taxes etc.

Have been thinking, is it better to leave the property as inheritance, or to sell off and invest in global index ETF instead and leave this as inheritance instead?

Maintaining and resolving rental related issues take time/effort and as properties age, more issues will crop up and not sure if they can/will want to handle those issues.
