Via Appia Antica: the queen of the roads, still marching on after 2,300+ years.
Built in 312 BC by Appius Claudius Caecus, this stretch of the original Appian Way still carries the same basalt paving stones that Roman legions, merchants, and emperors once walked.
Truly incredible sight to see.
