hi! i’m the girl from the “meet and greet” in kurtis’ stream
kurtis, please read this if you’re able. maybe you’ll know what i’m talking about.
everyone else, just continue reading this if you know what i’m talking about. if you don’t, then just avoid this and don’t look further into it. it’s literally not that interesting.
technically, i could forget this even happened, considering many didn’t make a deal out of it (except for the time being on screen), and my last name wasn’t even mentioned. but it pains me to know that kurtis may have felt some type of way toward this message. rather my name is attached or not, i don’t want him genuinely thinking that people dislike his shows or meeting him. rather he is a creator or not, he’s a person too. i want him to know that i literally had an amazing time, and i have expressed that before as well.
but for context: earlier today i went back to watch kurtis’ recent minecraft stream, and you may can say i was too stunned to speak, when i saw my name come up in a chat. i would be lying if i said my heart didn’t fall to my ass when i saw it. mainly because i knew it came off a lot worse than it was. and the responses in the chat definitely proved that. i just wanted to share my side of the story publicly. PLEASE DO NOT SPREAD HATE TO ANYBODY. IT IS NEVER WORTH THAT AND KURTIS WOULD NOT LIKE THAT EITHER. this was clearly just a complete and total misunderstanding.
i do not believe that kurtis is dry and i was not disappointed in my interaction with him. i am very aware that kurtis is just a normal human being like the rest of us. i do not idolize content creators. i have met a few myself, and every interaction is the same: they don’t know me and i dont know them. they’re just someone i watch on my screen in my free time.
but the reason this misunderstanding came about was because i expressed before that i had went to one of kurtis’ shows and he was able to speak with other fans a lot longer than he did me (WHICH WAS NOT KURTIS’ FAULT), but that was only because he was riffing off of fans for his show. i’m naturally an introvert so when he spoke to me, i had very little to say, and therefore he couldn’t really respond too much or riff off of me, so he went on to the next person. i did not take it personally. i was only upset with myself because i had one chance to speak with him and i didn’t make the most of it. i’ve always had my own struggles with responding quickly to people or knowing what to say. it literally had nothing to do with him at all.
KURTIS I REALLY ENJOYED MEETING YOU (AND IT WASN’T EVEN FORMALLY) AND I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST YOU AS A PERSON WHATSOEVER. it was just something i expressed while chatting with a friend and i never thought it would be disclosed publicly. i genuinely don’t know you, so i don’t expect you to act like you know me if you meet me.
