Trip with bff has become a solo trip

Hi everybody!

Last time I had questions on this subreddit, you were so lovely with helping me find the solutions. I was originally supposed to travel with my best friend, it was going to be my first time interailing and I was so excited for it. It’s something I’ve been dreaming of for years.

Just before we were supposed to leave, my friend cancelled the holiday. I understand and she has her reasons, but oh man, that sucks. I found someone else who wanted to do a really short interrail trip with me - not necessarily worth the money’s worth but hey, I’ll take it! Unfortunatley, she has now also had to cancel.

So now it’s just me. I know people do this by themselves all the time, but i’m feeling quite sad about the way it’s panned out. I was looking forward to going on an adventure with my friends. I’m also a bit scared since I’ve had a traumatic experience on a night train, and I don’t really like the idea of taking one by myself. But on the other hand, I do still have the ticket, it’s been my lifelong dream and I don’t want to let my holiday go to waste.

Just wanted to share these thoughts here since this community has been so nice and supportive.

And if there are any single female travelers, I’d love to hear your favourite trips!
