Breaking: House Oversight Committee requests Jes Staley's testimony on multiple Epstein matters

A quick overview on the Epstein links of Staley – ex-CEO of Barclays and JP Morgan executive – in this video.

On the seedier side of things, a quick take video on his Epstein island 'sexploits' is here.

No wonder his wife filed for divorce earlier this year.

Also, a good in-depth article in The Guardian.

A brief excerpt:

>Staley was soon holidaying on Epstein’s private island, flying on his private plane, and gaining access to an impressive portfolio of ministers, entrepreneurs and royalty. The relationship ended up bolstering Staley’s profile on Wall Street and even connecting his daughter to senior figures at Ivy League universities.

In an investigation by the UK's Financial Conduct Authority, he was found to have lied about his contact & relationship with Epstein.

In 2023 he was fined £1.8m and banned for life from holding senior management roles in the City [of London], leading to him losing about £18m worth of pay. His subsequent appeal in June 2025 was dismissed.

Survivor Annie Farmer - survivors were "shocked" at Melania's bizarre speech.

On Melania's suggestion that survivors should have public hearings: "... they shouldn't have to in order to have their claims investigated".

"... and, with us learning more recently about Republicans being in favor of a pardon for Ghislaine Maxwell, that was of course extremely troubling".

Whoops, a nice bombshell slipped out by Comer there:

>"... but he wasn't 100% truthful with whether or not he'd been on the island".

No wonder he paused soon after saying it. You could almost hear him thinking "oh fuck, what did I just say?".

(see at about 3 mins 50 secs when he's asked a question about Lutnick's credibility)

The key word there is "wasn't 100% truthful" - not 'wasn't 100% correct' or 'wasn't 100% sure'.

Htf can someone who's not truthful (i.e. a liar) be fit to serve so highly in public office? Thanks for that little gem Comer.

Of course, we all know full well what a bunch of liars they are but it's great to actually hear it from a lying horse's own mouth.

>Matilda Munro, 41, also argued the treatment of her sex trafficking aunt was 'deeply troubling' and begged for her to be granted bail in a letter to the New York District Court, insisting her imprisonment was 'punitive and unjust'.

>In a pre-trial letter, written on November 4, 2020, four months after Ghislaine was arrested by the FBI and charged with helping Jeffrey Epstein abuse young girls, Mrs Munro complained her aunt was being kept in 'inhumane and degrading' conditions in New York's Metropolitan Detention Center.

>Mrs Munro resigned as governor of Columbia Primary School after the letter emerged in the latest release of the Epstein Files, the Daily Mail can reveal.

Note: Columbia Primary School is in London, England.

Zampolli, a longtime friend, associate & alleged accomplice of Epstein and now Trump's 'Special Envoy' ambassador, has been accused by Andrews of numerous crimes, mainly on X.

These allegations include Zampolli's drug use & smuggling coke, domestic abuse, drugging & rape (of Victoria Drake), getting ICE to deport his ex-partner Amanda Ungaro to Brazil, kidnapping their son, and more.

Also, Andrews has recently alluded to claims that Zampolli colluded with Melania to conceal the truth about her past, including how she really met Trump (i.e. introduced by Epstein, not by Zampolli).

Many (including myself) have suggested it was Amanda Ungaro's online threats to dish the dirt on Melania that prompted her sensational speech recently, in a desperate attempt to get ahead of the game.

These issues have all been widely discussed on numerous SM platforms and more recently on Italian TV station RAI, in their weekly 'Report' program. And of course here in the sub.

Andrews has often claimed to have gathered evidence to support his allegations. In which case I believe he should just ignore the letter and let discovery happen. Unless I'm missing something?

It's clear that Anthony Andrews has really touched a nerve with Zampolli - he should feel honored! No-one else has received such a letter. His X account is Here.

Go Julie! Congratulations, well deserved! You are one of our greatest warriors for justice.

>Miami Herald investigative reporter Julie K. Brown on Monday was honored by the Pulitzer Prize Board for her groundbreaking and impactful investigation into sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein and the people and institutions that enabled him to abuse girls for decades.

>Brown’s honor is unique in that it recognizes not only her work from the past year, but the totality of her journalistic career and in particular her revelations about Epstein’s global sex-trafficking network and the people who protected him.

>Her explosive Epstein investigation, Perversion of Justice, ricocheted across the globe when it was published in 2018. Today, the so‑called Epstein Files have become an indispensable resource for journalists, researchers and investigators, revealing the scope of Epstein’s abuses, his connections to powerful figures, and the institutional breakdowns that allowed his crimes to persist.

>Brown seized on a story and angle no other journalist saw and told that story in a way no other journalist had. She gave voice to Epstein’s victims and deep, relentless scrutiny to the making of a sweetheart deal that allowed a global sex-trafficking network to persist.

>Her reporting centered on telling the stories of survivors whose allegations had been forgotten or ignored, and she worked patiently, sensitively to earn the trust of women wounded by Epstein.

>She documented how Epstein recruited vulnerable teenage girls, some as young as 14, at his South Florida mansion, grooming and paying them for sex and pressuring them to recruit other teens.

>These girls, now women, told Brown of cycles of exploitation at Epstein’s homes in Palm Beach, New York, New Mexico and on his private Caribbean island. Girls were scheduled, transported and isolated, with employees and close associates facilitating access and secrecy.

Rep. Garcia sends a letter to HOC Chairman James Comer ahead of Bondi's appearance on May 29th, with a list of demands:

>"If Ms. Bondi refuses to fully answer the committee's questions, she must be compelled to do so".

>"A failure to film and release a video of Ms. Bondi's testimony would present a grave injustice to the American people and survivors of Epstein's crimes, all of whom are calling upon Congress for transparency".

Every day is the same. Someone posts on breaking news and others soon follow on with new posts on the exact same subject.

Most often it's pretty much the same story but just links - at best - to a different source and with a different title. Such duplicates are supposedly against the sub rules - it doesn't need to be the exact same source and/or title to breach the rule.

There's even a way to report such posts (3 dots, Report, Breaks r/Epstein rules, Duplicate post). Yet although I've often reported them myself, they still remain active days later.

Noticeably there's a hard core of a few posters who keep duplicating others' post subjects just about daily and multiple times (mentioning no names - you must know who you are!).

Usually it's deliberate & blatant farming of upvotes & karma points, which unfortunately works for the abusers, only adding to their upvotes.

An acceptable exception is a new post that adds a major new angle to a previous post on the same subject. For example, Melania's speech - a big running story that had latest reactions by key public figures flooding in for days afterwards.

I ask readers to not encourage duplicate posts by upvoting them. Look briefly down the board first for any earlier post on the same subject, and report any offending repeats (fwiw). And call them out for it in the comments.

Let's try to keep the sub uncluttered by repeat posts. They only dilute some valuable content that deserves our best attention.

Low-effort & dross posts make things bad enough already, without clogging up the sub with unnecessary repeats.

Rant over. Thank you for reading and sorry for (ironically!) cluttering the sub on this occasion.
