I went to Ozora in 2019 and decided to go again this year with a friend who had never been to a festival before.

Funny thing is, she was actually the one who bought the early-bird ticket while traveling in Sri Lanka. She was super excited, texting me “we’re going, we’re going!” and even met someone who was coming to Ozora too.

We arrived Saturday and she seemed totally fine while we walked around. Then on Sunday she told me it was all too much and that she didn’t want to be there anymore.

I suggested we go to Lake Balaton for a day, take a break and come back, especially since her friends were arriving Wednesday. But she decided to go home Tuesday.

I stayed and had a great time, but I’m still wondering — why go to a festival like Ozora if you don’t really listen to the music and don’t like crowds or that kind of environment?

Of course, there’s nothing wrong with realizing something isn’t for you. I just feel like maybe she was more excited about the idea of Ozora than the actual experience.

Hi everyone! I have a few questions about this year's Ozora:

Does anyone know why Earl 16 didn't perform with Gaudi & Don Letts at the Dragon Nest? He was on the lineup, but as far as I could tell, he never came on stage.

On Friday morning, there was supposed to be African Drum Circle & Dance in the Dome at 10:00, but when I went there, nothing was happening. Was it cancelled or moved somewhere else?

I was also surprised by the amount of single-use plastic this year. Did anyone else notice this, or was it just my impression?

During the cacao ceremony, why weren't people informed in advance to bring their own cups? It felt like such a simple thing that could have reduced unnecessary waste.

I'd really appreciate it if anyone has any information or had a similar experience. Thanks! 🙏
