What vaccines are required for residency programs nowadays and what documents and/or tests do they require? Also is the covid 19 vaccine still strictly required and if so do they require the full series or would they take just one shot.
If anyone can communicate what their program told them that would be appreciated
Is USMLE still worth it with all the uncertainty and with getting visas and the seemingly increased regulation and strictness in policies? I have been hearing how people have not been able to get b1/b2 to get into the usa for USCE or even to do step 3. Even after matching many have gotten their J1 rejected for seemingly no reason realistically ending their img chances in the usa. Even for applicants who complete residency I am hearing that they are not processing j1 waivers for them so they have to return home and they never really benefit from the amount of money and time to put in to get the training.
Any input from other Indian IMGS and what pathway they are choosing now would be appreciated. thank you
