I have only just heard this term and I think it's too late for my relationship with my husband as I am already divorcing him amicably.

Such a shame he's enmeshed and he doesn't have a life - he can't be himself around his mother and if he does want to spend time with her without his sister he can't as she always seems to show up.

He doesn't do anything about it as he thinks it's love. Also he seems to be so beaten down that he doesn't have the energy to do anything about it now (he's 56).

If he did talk to them there would either be a big row or they wouldn't see each other for a while but nothing would change. I think I'm going to have to leave him to them.
