Advice for how to approach backyard reno
Hi all. I'm interested in doing a bit of landscaping in my backyard and have a general idea of what I want to do. First picture is as is and second is some AI changes done for a concept image. My main concern, at this point, with this approach is how to handle drainage to the storm water drain near the door of the garage on the right. I assume I will need to ensure that the pavers in the centre of the backyard are sloped slightly towards the drain. In addition, I am also thinking of setting the broken paver path on top of the current pebble mix path in order to avoid having to jack hammer and dispose of the current path and possibly damaging the drain and or pipes in proximity. One dilemma I am having now is that the broken paver path will be higher than the concrete slab in the garage and might require a slope for it to not be too awkward to get in and out of the garage. I am thinking this may also cause issues if there is excessive rainfall and some of the runoff doesn't go into the drain but instead pours into the garage.
Please let me know your thoughts and suggestions to approach this.
