Bird cane I made for my mom. First time making a cane
The shaft is made from oak, the handle i dont really know what wood it is, and the ring is made from cedar and non structural.
The shaft is two pieces glued together, the initial plank was very curved and couldnt plane it away, so i cut two strips and glued the concave sides together, making it straight.
Theres also a steel threaded rod connecting the shaft with the handle, glued with epoxy.
Finally, the ring was made to cover the glued section and to give it a better transition
